Balloon Care
I have such passion for my career and designing the most beautiful displays for my clients that I only ever use the highest quality products and take every measure to ensure you receive the best displays and balloon artistry.
I create collection displays and products 24 hours before collection to ensure there are no manufacturing faults so when you receive your balloons I know they are perfectly capable of their longevity.
Once the display and/or products are in your lovely hands the responsibility of care is passed from me to you so I have put this information together for you to get the very most out of your balloons. If the balloons become damaged in your care, I’m afraid I will have to charge for replacements.
TRAVEL WITH LOTS OF ROOM
Most of my collection displays can be collected in a car - you will be advised if you should need a van/delivery option. Before you arrive to collect your balloons, (depending on what you have ordered) please ensure your car boot and back seats are completely empty and clear with NO car seats and at back seats laid flat. Balloons must be transported from The Little Balloon Story straight to their destination. Balloons must NOT be left in the car while you go shopping or go to work and they must never be left in the car over night.
KEEP AT ROOM TEMPERATURE
You will get the most out of your balloons by keeping them at a constant room temperature wherever possible. Heat from direct sunlight, outdoor heat, indoor high temperature central heating, hot radiators can contribute to balloons expanding which can lead to bursting. Cold from being left in a garage, being left in a car over night or leaving the balloons in an outhouse with no warmth can contribute to balloons deflating and sag - this will be reversed when travelling from collection to destination but this reversal cannot be guaranteed after a longer period of being cold.
Latex balloons are biodegradable and if left outside or exposed to sun or heat they will show signs of oxidisation (can become a matte colour and lose their shine).
PROTECT FROM SHARP & ROUGH SURFACES
As obvious as it sounds, please ensure your balloons cannot be caught by anything sharp. This may be as simple as a piece of debris in the car, a sharp corner of a household wall or piece of furniture or a person walking too close with a pen/pencil or scissors. Protect balloons from any sharp objects or rough surfaces to avoid punctures and deflating balloons.
HANDLE WITH CARE
Although my balloons are of the highest quality and industry strength brands, they are still delicate balloons! Please handle your displays with care, place them in the car with a gentle nature and take your time. Use the bag provided (unless not suitable for the size of display) with any handles made or follow my instructions for the best point on the display to carry your balloons securely.
NO UNSUPERVISED CHILDREN & PETS
Balloons are often purchased for children to enjoy which gives me so much joy. I want your children to be about to touch and explore their balloon displays and the displays are more than strong enough to handle GENTLE exploration and love. Balloons are unfortunately not made for throwing, kicking, moving with force or ‘playing’ with and I am unable to replace any balloons if they are damaged by this. Pets also like to explore and may accidentally use their claws to touch - balloons will burst in this situation. Children and pets should never be left alone with balloons for safety reasons beyond the balloons lasting. Children and pets unsupervised could harm themselves through choking or strangulation - PLEASE SUPERVISE CHILDREN & PETS AT ALL TIMES.
ENJOY YOUR BALLOONS
Most of all - enjoy your beautiful balloons! As everything I create is air-filled your balloons have longevity - which means you get to enjoy them for the longest time possible. Once you are ready to take your display down (are you ever ready?!) please dispose responsibly and take account for our environment. There is no need for balloons to contribute to a poor environment if they are disposed of correctly. Pin it, Bin it - never ever let balloons fly away in the sky to litter somewhere else.
